Merge a Call / 3-way calling

Modified on Tue, 5 May at 1:24 PM

You can merge two calls together to create a 3-way call. To do this, you need to have two calls active — one on hold and one in progress.

Start a second call

You can get a second call in one of two ways:

  1. Receive an incoming call while already on a call. The first caller is placed on hold.
  2. Add a call manually by clicking the ellipsis menu (⋯) in the call controls and selecting Add Call. Dial a number or select a contact. The original caller is placed on hold while the second call connects.

Merge the calls

Once you have one call active and one on hold:

  1. Click the ellipsis menu (⋯) in the call controls.
  2. Select Merge calls.

Note: The Merge option is only available in the ellipsis menu when you have two calls — one active and one on hold. It is otherwise greyed out.

Unmerge a 3-way call

To unmerge, click 'Unmerge' in the ellipsis menu. The calls will return to their previous state.

Note: Merged calls are limited to 3 participants.
